Temperature Rising

Last Thursday MAC came out with their  limited edited summer collection called Temperature Rising. The collection is super glamourous, its full of bronzes, plums, greens and dual chrome shimmers. What I love about this launch is that not all the colours look like your typical summer shades, many dark smokey colours are involved! The packaging from this collection is super luxurious- a mixture of copper and brown with a smooth satin finish. Now for a few of my favorites.

Bare My Soul Eyeshadow Quad
Four duo chrome shadows consisting of a brown, begie, green and yellow.
(From the left)
Romantico- shimmery taupe/ beige
Bare My Soul- frosted gold
Friendly- bronze veluxe pearl
When In Rio- deep green with copper pear

Love this pallet! A green and brown smokey eye is so pretty for summer.

Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder - Sun Dipped
I absolutely love the Pro Longwear Bronzers, they are long lasting and have a smooth silky texture. Sun Dipped is a beautiful warm toned colour that's not too yellow and looks very natural on the skin. This shade would be best for light to medium skin tones.

167 Brush
This brush is perfect for bronzing and is small enough to fit in your makeup bag. The dense flat bottom makes for perfect application that is not too heavy. Remember less is more with bronzer, the orange sand queen look is not pretty.

Stobe Liquid, Golden Elixer
You are most likely already familiar with the regular strobe liquid which has the pink peal pigments. This is the same product expect with golden tones. Great for a golden shine and on as a highlight on darker skin tones.

Caliente Lipstick. Deep violet with glitter. At first glance this lipstick looks like one of those frosty 80's lipsticks that I usually tend to avoid. However after trying it on I abousulty fell in love, especially after pairing it with Vino lipliner. The finish of this lipstick falls under the Dazzle category- it looks more like a 3D sparkle instead of frost and it gives your lips a brilliant shine. (The lipstick shown here isn't in the limited packaging)

Soft Serenade Lipglass-  Neutral pink with pearl. Try this gloss over top of a nude lipstick- it gives the look some dimension and sparkle.

Powerchrome Eye Pencil- YES!
Long lasting and creamy in texture the Powerchrome Eye Pencils are a must have. They are highly pigmented with a pretty metallic finish. This product can be used on its own or as a eyeshadow base. I tested out both shades and they really do last all day.

Top- Rich Glance
Light gold with a ton of shimmer.

Bottom- Polished Jet
Soft grey-black with silver sparkle.

Here is a makeup look I created using this collection. It's a little vampy for summer however it would be perfect for a edgy nighttime look.  I love a smokey eye paired with a bold lip .

Products Used
Eyes: Polished Jet Powerchrome Eye Pencil, MAC #34 Lashes
Face: Strobe Lotion-Golden , Armani Luminous Silk foundation, Prolongwear Bronzing Powder- Sun Dipped
Cheeks: Prism blush
Lips:Vino lip liner, Caliente Lipstick

Graphic Liner

As some of you may already know, I have a slight eyeliner addiction and am always looking to experiment with new liner techniques. Earlier this week I made an attempt at graphic liner and I am absolutely in love with the look. Its bold, edgy and has a 60's mod feel to it. I can't wait to try this out in some bright colours!

The best way to achieve this look is to use a stiff pointed eyeliner brush and creamy gel liner.

Products used:
MAC 210 Precise Liner Brush
MAC PRO Chromaline in Black Black
MAC Fascinating Khol Pencil (used for white in the center)

MAC Archie's Girls

Happy Valentines Day everyone! I don't know about you but for me this day is a geat excuse to put on your favorite red lipstick, wear something cute, and indulge in your favorite treat. Lot's of chocolate cheesecake for me please! Oh yeah and there is also that stuff where you spend time with your loved one. Or your cats.

Last Thursday MAC came out with the Archie's Girls collection and I am obsessed. The collection is super girly and fun. Light pinks, corals, and pastels for the Betty ladies. Reds, purples, and deep blues for the Veronica's out there. The packaging is beyond adorable, it has a comic book inspired design and is covered in hearts.  What better way to get into the Valentines Day spirit ?

Here are some of my favorites that I picked up from the collection.

Veronica's Blush: Frosted/pearl pink highlighter and blush combo. Beautiful on any skin tone.

Ronnie Red: Gorgeous bright matte red. How foxy does Veronica look on this lipstick tube? Love her.

Betty Bright: Pretty coral perfect for spring.

Me and one of my favorite co-worker's Rachelle at the MAC event. This lady is super talented, she does amazing YouTube makeup tutorials. Check her out! www.youtube.com/user/MsRoshPosh

Eyeliner Love

Eyeliner has been a huge trend in makeup this past F/W, everything from heavily smoldered eyes to clean geometric shapes. The more winged out and bold the better! I may have a  little obsession with eyeliner so I was very excited to see this trend pop up everywhere.  Here is a look that I came up little while ago, it was my attempt at a double winged liner. A classic look with a modern twist.
